A young man from Flint Michigan village intends to seek a job in New York City. Her mother equips her with little money and a small box of food. With full conviction and strong embroidery, the young man immediately bought a ticket and hurried up the ship. During the ship he ate his food supplies little by little while the other passenger ship was always into the dining room and enjoy a delicious meal there.

During the 27 days he only ate a piece of bread only. Three days before arriving in New York, his food box was empty, his face pale, weak and hungry. He takes money out of his pocket and was about to buy food in the dining room the ship. He thought that the food on the ship must be very expensive and very little money is definitely gone.
The young man went into the dining room and took out all his own dime. In his heart he said, "Arriving in New York, I do not have money anymore. But than I die of hunger, I would rather buy food.

"As he handed over his money, the cook said to him," Young man, all the food here is included in the cost of your ticket. So you can eat anything. "
When we read this story, maybe we'll laugh surprised because the boy is ignorance. During the 27 days he wasted food rations on board and only ate a piece of bread until he starved.
